Airline schedules change with the season and from year to year. Several of these routes are seasonal or run at reduced frequency in winter, so check the airline’s own timetable for your dates.

By train, the C1 line runs from neighbouring Fuengirola to Málaga airport and Málaga Centro-Alameda (Renfe (opens in a new tab); Aena (opens in a new tab)). Aena gives about 34 minutes from Fuengirola to the airport. For an airport transfer by public transport, take the C1 to Fuengirola and continue by local bus or taxi to your address in Mijas.

By bus, the Málaga metropolitan transport consortium links Mijas with Fuengirola, Málaga and the coast: the M-112 Málaga – Mijas, the M-122 Fuengirola – Mijas Pueblo, the M-113 Málaga – Las Lagunas – Fuengirola, the M-119 circular Calahonda – La Cala – Fuengirola and the M-220 Las Lagunas – Fuengirola – Marbella, with stops along the Mijas coast (Consorcio de Transportes Metropolitano del Área de Málaga (opens in a new tab), checked October 2026).
