The municipality is not one market. idealista divides it into eleven districts, and we group them into four broad areas to help you find your way. These are editorial groupings, not official boundaries, and they do not always match the names used in property advertising. District asking prices run from €2,943 to €4,593 per m².
Mijas Pueblo and the hills — the white village. The historic village sits on the hillside above the coast, with whitewashed streets, shops and restaurants, and the botanical walk along La Muralla, where Turismo Mijas lists 140 plant species. idealista’s Mijas Pueblo district extends beyond the village itself and includes residential addresses in Buenavista; the Valtocado - La Alquería - La Atalaya district adds hillside and inland residential settings to this area. Around €3,570/m² in Mijas Pueblo and €3,879/m² in Valtocado - La Alquería - La Atalaya.
Las Lagunas and Campo de Mijas — everyday life beside Fuengirola. Las Lagunas combines schools, shops, a public health centre, the CARE specialist outpatient centre and the 27-hectare Gran Parque, whose splash park opened in June 2026 with 41 interactive features. Neighbouring Fuengirola provides access to the C1 train to Málaga airport and Málaga. Campo de Mijas includes established residential neighbourhoods such as El Coto, Sierrezuela and Lagarejo, with apartments, villas, townhouses and plots. Around €3,323/m² in Las Lagunas and €2,943/m² in Campo de Mijas, the lowest of the eleven district figures.
La Cala and the coast — beaches from El Chaparral to Calahonda. Four districts along the coast: Calaburra - Chaparral, next to Fuengirola; La Cala de Mijas, with its historic watchtower and village centre by the sea; Riviera del Sol; and Sitio de Calahonda. This area includes all five Mijas beaches awarded the Blue Flag in 2026: La Cala, El Chaparral, El Bombo, Riviera and La Luna - Royal Beach. For coastal walks, ADEAC lists a six-kilometre trail between La Cala and Playa de La Luna, and a 700-metre section linking La Cala with El Sheriff opened in June 2026. From €3,482/m² in Riviera del Sol to €4,593/m² in La Cala de Mijas, the highest of the eleven district figures.
Golf and the inland communities. Mijas Golf has two 18-hole courses, Los Lagos and Los Olivos, and La Cala Resort three championship courses, America, Asia and Europa. In idealista’s districts it covers Mijas Golf, La Cala Golf - Lagar Martell and Hipódromo-Cerrado del Águila, with its residential communities. Check each address’s access to the coast, shops and services. From €3,094/m² in Mijas Golf to €3,652/m² in Hipódromo-Cerrado del Águila.
In August 2026, all eleven Mijas district figures were below the municipal averages of Estepona (€4,961) and Marbella (€5,956). Even La Cala de Mijas, the highest, was about 23% below Marbella’s.
