Buses. The M-122 links Mijas Pueblo with Fuengirola, the M-112 with Málaga and the M-121 with Benalmádena and Torremolinos; the M-222 serves Valtocado, El Barrio and La Alquería (Consorcio de Transportes Metropolitano del Área de Málaga (opens in a new tab)). Check the stop nearest to any address you consider.
Schools. Check the school allocation for the specific address with the education authority.
Getting to the coast and the airport. Málaga airport is around 20 minutes by road from Mijas Pueblo (Rome2Rio, October 2026). Distance, gradients and access vary from one hillside address to another: compare each address’s route to shops, schools and the coast.
If you plan to let the property
Since 3 April 2025, a new holiday let covered by Spain’s Horizontal Property Law generally requires prior express approval from the owners’ association. Have an independent adviser check the property’s planning compatibility, tourism requirements, community rules and any applicable transitional provisions before relying on rental income.
